Kyrle Probus Club members met for the first time at the new venue of The Royal Hotel, Ross, on Tuesday 20 July 2021. The agenda was taken up by a Special General Meeting to discuss and vote on the amended Constitution. The Constitution was voted upon and unanimously adopted. After discussions on general housekeeping of future meetings the members adjourned to the hotel restaurant for lunch.
At the 17 August meeting numbers of attendees was down slightly (holidays, hospital appointments, and COVID uncertainty). There had been confusion on the start time of the meeting. The Secretary announced that for future meetings members would gather in the Buckingham Suite from 10.30am and the meeting would begin at 11am. Lunch would be at 1pm in the hotel restaurant.
The Treasurer informed the meeting that Club subscriptions would be due at the October meeting. Collecting for the September Wye boat trip and the September musical and buffet evening will take place at the 14 September meeting.
An illustrated talk was given by Chris Hucker on “Cahokia (Illinois, USA) – A Tale of Two Cities”
The 14 September meeting is NOT the third Tuesday in September but the third Tuesday date had already been booked by another hotel patron.
